P.A.S.S. Anti-Theft System

The PIN Activated Security System (P.A.S.S.) prevents the engine from starting without a valid PIN entry. The four-digit PIN can be entered on the instrument cluster or 7" Display powered by RIDE COMMAND, if equipped.

Select off-road vehicles come equipped with P.A.S.S., and it can be added to others as an accessory with an electronic control module (ECM) and instrument cluster update. To determine whether your vehicle already has P.A.S.S., check the settings on your instrument cluster or touchscreen display (if equipped). Settings will be labeled as "Require PIN to start." See your authorized Polaris Dealer for more information.

Note: There is no subscription fee for P.A.S.S., but your dealer may charge for the labor required to enable the feature.

If P.A.S.S. is enabled and the incorrect PIN is entered, the engine will not turn over or attempt to start. The PIN can be entered incorrectly five times on the instrument cluster before locking out the user. Once locked out, a key cycle will reset the counter. On the display powered by RIDE COMMAND, unlimited attempts are allowed. If the Personal PIN is lost or forgotten, contact your Dealer for your vehicle’s Master PIN.

The P.A.S.S. feature can be manually enabled and disabled on your vehicle’s gauge cluster or touchscreen display.

Note: P.A.S.S. is intended to be a supplementary ignition interlock method and does not enable any vehicle or GPS tracking capability.

Enabling P.A.S.S. on the Display Powered by RIDE COMMAND
After activating P.A.S.S. for the first time, you must power down the vehicle and allow the ECM to fully shut down before restarting. This may take up to 3 minutes. Once a new passcode has been enabled, it cannot be changed unless you first disable the system. Then you can re-follow the steps below to enter a new passcode.

1. Go to the settings menu by tapping the Polaris icon at the top of the screen, then tap ALL SETTINGS.

2. Select VEHICLE SETTINGS from the left toolbar.

3. Select ENGINE START LOCKOUT.

4. If this is your first time activating P.A.S.S., you will be prompted to enter a new PIN. Enter and verify your new PIN. Record your PIN in a secure location for future reference.

5. Turn Engine Start Lockout from NO to YES.

6. Turn off the vehicle using the key ignition switch.

Note: If the battery becomes low while the P.A.S.S. system is enabled, the gauge may show “New Vehicle Detected” after the battery has been recharged or replaced. Leave the key in the ON position to allow system reconfirmation.
