The following video demonstrates how to install an Extreme Front Bumper (part number 2878688) to your Polaris snowmobile.
To install the bumper you need a 3/16-inch drill bit, ratchet wrench, T40 TORX® bit, torque wrench, 10mm socket, 10mm wrench and spring puller. To learn more about tools, read the Tools and Fasteners Guide.
The video includes removing the side panels and hood (0:50), removing the spare belt holder (1:20), disconnecting the exhaust temperature sensor (1:33), removing the exhaust system (1:53), removing the existing bumper (4:12), drilling a hole for the bumper mount (6:32), installing the new bumper (7:11), reinstalling the exhaust system (9:40), reconnecting sensors (12:46), reinstalling the spare belt holder (14:00) and reinstalling the hood and side panels (14:12).
The Extreme Front bumper comes in three varieties: aluminum (part number 2878688), white aluminum (part number 2878688-133) and black aluminum (part number 2878688-458).
